EPISODE 5
HEROINE
This was the cool-toned episode for HGI. Here, the gray coat was softer than anything else they've put on her, but she still looked very nice of course. The white shirt underneath with the pearl accessories really rounded out the elegant look. I personally like her in the more confident colors (probably because I just like confidence in general), but the costume department venturing into feminine, floaty territory wasn't without merit. Let's admit it, with that hair cut, she could look good in anything. 8/10.
Ooh, okay, something I actually didn't like right off. The metallic... god, what do you even call that? An overcoat? Whatever it is, it didn't really work for me. The wine purple color of the dress was beautiful, just overshadowed by the shiny quality of the coat. The wide belt saves some of this outfit overall. I don't know, though, just something not quite right about the whole ensemble. 6.5/10.
NOW we're talking artsy! All the pieces are consistent now--the jacket, the dress, the accessories, they all work together. The colors are muted blues and grays, very nice and casual. The turtleneck and the low buttoned dress are good layers, always in conjunction with a belt and layered necklaces of course. And I love half sleeve jackets, they're just a universal flattering thing. The longer purse looks more casual and (forgive my lack of vocabulary) artsy, which finishes out the whole look. Nice, nice. 8/10.
