EPISODE 6
DON'T

I would have expected this top on Chan Min's mother, but on Hwa Ran? They really jumped the shark with this girl when they handed her this purple number. Just look at those puffed sleeves, a la Anne of Green Gables. If she was going for the peasant look, she missed it by about six inches, a completely wrong color, and the wrong fabric. The wide scooped neckline actually makes her look bulky. Don't mix and match time periods, please.

HEROINE

She looks rather like Valentine's Day. Red/pink has always been on my least favorite color combo list, but since it's a hanbok, I'll give it somewhat more leverage. This top is very interesting since I've never seen the high-necked style before. Makes it look kinda Chinese, especially with the buttons. Fabric all around is nice. The ribbon is also different because it's actually circling the empire waist and isn't just falling from the bodice like what I've seen before. The red color is beautiful, but the pink is too sweet for me. 7/10.

HERO

Ah, I knew he'd be back, my slick and suave LJH. He was in all black for the house sequence and this suit looked absolutely fabulous on him. I see a hint of what I'm guessing was his tie and it looks like a patterned brown one. I've always thought loosened, undone ties were really hot, so bonus points for him right there. Yep, I think that covers everything. 9/10.

ACCESSORY ACHIEVEMENT

Something I haven't ranted about yet! For the record, I have over 10 hair chopsticks and far too many combs and clips to count, so I'm definitely on the hair accessory boat. Done well, hair clips and pins look so nice, as exemplified by LDH here. I love metallic hair pins the best, and this one was a nice surprise. It looks pretty intricate with the weaving and the small stones and colored pearls spread out in the web. My favorite part is the hanging pearl, which gives it a little more character. Just the pin design alone could be stuffy and rigid, but the pearl gives it some softness.
