EPISODE 4
DO
Three, count 'em, THREE Do's this episode! Although this one shouldn't "really" count because it's the main couple, but just look at 'em! We've got LJH on the left sporting a great suit and shirt that I should think is a pukey, ugly shade of green but for some reason he just makes it work. Then LDH's chillin' on the right, her belted red coat just coming off the screen. Both of them looked so finished and well-dressed, I couldn't NOT have them as a Do. Major nod to the costume department for these outfits together in the same scene.
This woman's COATS. I could make coat angels in them all day and it'd be bliss. She has the whole look: the hair, the makeup, the accessories, the clothes, and the presence, and I will NOT mind going on and on about it for the next 12 episodes. On the right, a green-gray color for the subtle classy look, and then on the left, a deep fuchsia for the more confident classy look. I love both of them. How can you NOT? Just look how sophisticated and put together she comes off. Well done, well done.
Yes, this was the scene that hooked me into the character of Chan Min. He shed his suit jacket to reveal a nice black collar shirt, which he looked great in. Everything fit him perfectly and he looked so effortlessly nice. Like one of those guys that can put on a simple shirt and still give off the impression of a GQ model. HSJ definitely has that air about him. Side note: guys who roll up the sleeves of their nice collar shirts = niiiiiiice.
DON'T
Yeah.
HEROINE
Hm, a nice coat. Hm, ruffles. Never let it be said the K-drama costumers aren't consistent. Now this coat I liked because it was a subtle color and the plaid wasn't overwhelming or ridiculous. It was also fitted and more consciously feminine on her rather than just, oh, she's wearing a coat. This was a better ensemble than what they started her in, even though it's all still similar pieces, if that makes sense. Like I said, we still have ruffles, coats, and probaby some fitted pants with knee socks, but they're starting to come together and look more mature. 7/10.
Ooh, a hanbok war. *rubs hands* Well, there's no question about it, YMS has no hope of looking even remotely decent in a hanbok if LDH has one on too. Just none whatsoever, poor girl. LDH has a classic, timeless look to her that makes her look so gorgeous in these scenes. Now, while I do like the yellow and green colors better than the red and lavender, I have to give LDH her due for just pulling it off so beautifully. 8/10, 9/10.
ACCESSORY ACHIEVEMENT
I have a pair that look like this. They're smaller, but they follow the same figure 8 pattern with the extra loop. Nothing groundbreaking about these earrings, but they looked great, she wore them well, and they were the best earrings in the episode. The silver looked really great with the white jacket she had on.
