HEROINE

Another good coat on top of a tacky outfit! What is the costume dept up to anyway... Well, with the jeans again, we have form-fitting pedal pushers with white knee socks--gives off the little girl vibe. The high necked starchy button-up only adds to it. The plaid green coat, however, would have been kinda cute and funky over the right dress or pants. The lapels are a little big and I can do without the puffed sleeves but overall it isn't the most terrible coat they could have chosen. Side note, don't you love the way Lee Ji Hoon is squatting and leaning toward her in this shot? :D 5/10.

A nice dress on the leading female! Someone write this historical event down! When we got a glimpse of this dress in the preview in episode 1, I didn't take note of its design, but when we finally saw it in action I really liked it. Like I've said before, half of how a nice dress works for me is how it moves. This satin number was just right for her. I like the diamond-like adornment across the empire waist and how it curves slightly with the dress. The deep V is a nice effect too, plus a halter is a universally flattering top. The way the bottom flowed was really pretty, and I liked that the whole dress was on the shorter side. They would consider this too sexy for 99% of main female leads, but I'm glad they went for it. 8/10.
