Notes
Over and over, you just keep watching the main trio have the same exchanges. No, she won't have sex with you, you're a friggin' ROBOT fer cryin' out loud, and no, she can't possibly bake something for the company, it would disrupt the ideology of her being the underpaid, humble office assistant heroine, which is a role she must maintain until the end. You've read and seen it all by the time the last episode rolls around, but then Hiro hits you right between the eyes with this one: "I can grow old with you!" That line alone gets these seven points.
A typical BOA cycle that gets old very fast. Once Night gets a personality, the story gets much more interesting, but overall, pretty vanilla.
Night is so perfect and yet so flawed, and Soshi is so flawed and yet so perfect. Riko is an okay heroine, surprisingly strong in some of her opinions, but honestly, she didn't deserve either guy.
Could have gone deeper into the idea of "perfect" love, but decided to stay light and feel-good.
No shark to jump.
The robot stepped aside for the man, you can’t get more real than that. I love how it all worked out, because frankly, despite all the sweetness, I was always inwardly shuddering at the thought of robot love. And I know I'm not the only one!
Afternoon Glow was going to town on this one. I didn’t like it. But everything else was standard.
Nice ending theme and nice strings where they’re needed.
Another one of those legit battles between hero and supporting hero. Moco gets half a point more because he and Aibu Saki actually had a relationship where we got to see her return his feelings. Hiro carried much of the chemistry himself when it came to his turn.
