Notes
Ridiculously profound. Off-color. Witty. Sincere. Just all around great.
You do wonder what the ultimate conclusion is going to be, but it pales in comparison to the journey. The trio’s friendship is what’s supposed to keep you watching, but of course, I was more interested in Yamapi’s romantic turn of feelings.
No cardboards here. The humor and farce are solidly backed by good, strong characters. Nobuta, Shuji, and Akira are some of the most well written characters ever.
Humanitarianism lives! Throw in some friendship, bullying, inner beauty, and ya got me.
But throw in JTS Moving category, and ya don’t got me anymore.
Pure fanservice. Not worthy of the rest of the drama.
Standard.
Yet again, nice in context but forgettable.
Two scores here because this is one of those rare times when the hero and supporting hero have equal footing. They really were neck and neck the whole series. That famous scene where Maki has to choose between them is killer. And in the show, I rooted for Kame, though I'm a Yamaki fan otherwise. Chemistry between both couples was really, really nice.
