episode 9

I honestly thought that Sang-shil was gonna start crying there on the spot despite the fact that we all know she's stronger than that. But just the very idea that she actually pulled down her shield and told him not to leave her because she was the one at his side was really heart wrenching to watch, especially how he was just being jerky back to her in response. I love Chul-soo and all, and normally he's such a gentleman, but his reply was a bit insensitive and you could see how shaken up Sang-shil was when she just left. At least Chul-sootold Yoo-gyung to quit being so ultra clingy when he dropped her off.

Ok, I'm making a special award for this very very sad moment of the episode. Kim Sung-min must've had a fun time having to stand there in the same position and get rained on, snowed on, and uh...leafed on? And he probably had to do a couple of takes which makes it all the more funnier. But seriously, such a sad way of proposing to a girl. Makes you look more desperate than anything. Probably why Anna finally accepted when he didn't spend that extra day that would've turned him from a pathetic loser to a desperate pathetic loser.

You can really see how snowed in Chul-soo is about Sang-shil. He got so worried about her that he bought her that phone, and not one of those cheap free phones either. An expensive camera phone. He even kept telling himself he should just return it since it wasn't worth it, especially since he knew that she'd be leaving once she regained her memory, but what does he do when she comes into the room? He gives it to her anyways. It's sorta like he subconsciously already resigned to the fact that he just can't let her go even though his brain is telling him he should. And remember that time when Sang-shil woke up from drinking all night and Chul-soo predicted that she would say that she wouldn't remember when he told her about he vomitting everywhere? He did it again when she said she didn't like the color he picked out. How can you not gush at that? *glues paper hearts to eyes*

Speaking of knowing someone so well, loved it when Sang-shil 'dinged' Kang-ja like that. The expression of horror on her face is totally priceless. Sang-shil shoul've had a polaroid camera on her so she take a picture of it. And it was totally awesome how Kang-ja tricked Billy into unfreezing her. Pretty idiotic of Billy though. I mean she was frozen, he could've just gone into her purse and taken it from her. And it's not as if he was trying to be gentlemanly about it since he went into her purse during their little bbq.

So. Gong Shil-jang had those geeky nerd glasses then, and he has those geeky nerd glasses now. Nice to know that his style never changed. Just his hair. Puehehehe. Sorry, I know cheap shot, but I had to! The best part about all of this was, Duk-gu's mom only rode on his bike because she spent her bus money buying bread. Who knows if she would've given him the time of day if she actually took the bus.

Ah so it definitely is a korean male thing for a naked guy to cover his chest when somebody sees em bare. Cuz it happened in Sweet18 and it happened again in Goong. "MY BOOBS!!!!!" Puahahahhaa. Gotta love how bashful Oh Ji Ho's expression gets whenever he's nekid. Teehee =D

You gotta love how jumpy Sang-shil was getting at the beginning when she was trying to show Chul-soo that she was remembering liking him. And that possessed look she had when he grabbed her hand. I swear if they were in a hotel room she would've just chugged down the rest of that bear and just LUNGE at him and pin him down onto a bed. Would've been total hotness. Too bad these k-dramas are too chaste for their own good. =|

Ok, you gotta love how the flipped the situation around her. Last episode we had Sang-shil running all over trying to find Chul-soo, and here he is doing the exact same thing. He even walks up to her and screams his head off like she did, though he doesn't head but her =/ Course Chul-soo's bit was not the least bit as intense as Sang-shil's because they compacted his whereas Sang-shil had to wait for an entire night and had to worry about the rain. Course I guess it evens out because Chul-soo thought she left for good, but eh. I was however honestly grabbing my chest when I saw how desperate Chul-soo got. Reaaaaally would've been a good time for them to have him blurt out "I LOVE YOU". Oh well. My runner up was equally romantic, but it didn't make the cut because it wasn't as intense and passionate as Chul-soo's frantic search for Sang-shil. I just enjoyed the overall serene quality they laid out with those two just sitting there.

Immature, petty, and pathetic. Pretty much sums up Yoo-gyung in a nutshell. I guess it's understandable for her to long for Chul-soo, she's only human. You can't tell her not to have feelings for him. And you can't blame her for being a little disappointed that she didn't get anything from Chul-soo for her birthday considering he's always gotten something for her before. You can wipe that smug little smirk she had on her face. Honestly, how many times has she thrown Sang-shil's memory loss in her face? And it's absolutely pathetic how she pretended to be drunk to get Chul-soo to come over to her. Obviously the dude doesn't like if he doesn't come to see you're sober. Totally righteous when Sang-shil denied her the satisfaction of being carried out by Chul-soo. (yea...'righteous', just recently saw a clip of John Heder and those turtles from Finding Nemo and just had to use it. Righteous! RIGHTEOUS! [/surfer dude])
Overall thoughts: Another cool episode although nothing major happened, just the same old same old. But what's nice is that it doesn't feel like a filler/draggy episode. I didn't even get a chance to mention Han Ye Seul's awesome piano skills. Heard some mistakes in there I think, but overall very impressive. Makes me wonder what other hidden skills she's hiding under there. Also nice to see OJH's bare chest again after having to do without it for a couple of eps xD. Anywho, bring on episode 10~!
