episode 5

Agh, once again the Hong sisters implemented the oh-so famous "Guy starts being nice to girl first, but girl is the first to realize she likes him". And let the pain party begin. I feel so bad that Anna has to go through this. It's probably the first time where she really felt anything for anybody. Whereas I'm pretty sure she married Billy because he was the only person she knew, Chul-soo is probably her first real love. It sucks that she had to hear about how great Yoo-gyung looks with Chul-soo and see how depressed he got over her and the watch. I just hope we get to see a Yoo-gyung pwnage scene with Anna again just to make me feel better. Yea that's right, I said it. ME =pppppppppppp

It's really interesting to see Chul-soo teach Anna about manners. Even though he did this to her in order to get revenge, but in reality he's making her into a better person, which is better for everybody. Chul-soo doesn't realize it yet, but he's doing a great public deed by making her nice xD. And I loved that little smile she flashed when he continued to iron for her even though he was getting frustrated. Gotta love the smile of appreciation that sparks off true love <3<3<3

ANYOUNGHASAEYO!!!!!!! Gawd I love Kang Ja. So refreshing and so different from any other side-character I've ever seen. I really do hope that she gets together with Duk-gu. They could have beautiful flower-wearing, bus-chasing babies together.

Yea, you try opening your door only to see that and not point and laugh at this guy to the point that he feels so humiliated that he goes to that little dark place everybody has to tap into his inner demon and enters the fourth circle of hell.

Once again, I love the Hong sisters for showing us Oh Ji Ho's spectacular abs =3 btw is it just me, or does he sorta look like Jang Dong-gun from those Giordanno pics he took with Bi?

Ok, the actual hottest moment of this episode was in Duk-gu's mom's little island fantasy, but this actually happened, so I had to go with reality =/ I swear they should've done a Goong and had Anna drool all over his back to show how unlady like our refined Anna can be (we've already seen her eating habits =P). I kinda found it surprising that Chul-soo didn't leap up in disgust or anything at having found Anna in close proximity as most people in denial do. Ah well, it's not a biggie, but I still found it cool Anna slept next to him ^_^

Ok, so NOW I'm using Duk-gu's mom's imagination here, but that's because nothing else really happened in the way of romance. Just a lot of Anna painting light-houses and hoarding cheap pottery with Chul-soo. I really like the love-dovey couple-ness this showed. Agh I'm such a sucker for couplage moments. Seriously, I hate it when dramas just end with the two people getting together, I need to see some happy time after sitting through hours of angst. Btw whenever I look at this cap I think of the Little Mermaid where Ariel emerges from the water as a human and she's completely nekid.

Ah, a not to be punched award but a wtf award, I guess that's an improvement for Yoo-gyung? Eh I dunno, I still found her to be really messed up. I could _so_ not shed a tear for her when her fiance broke things off with her, he probably got really annoyed with how fake she was being too and just made up that story about how he likes somebody else. And this whole taking Chul-soo to see her try on her wedding dress IS MESSED UP. WTF was she doing? You don't take a guy you like and you know likes you to see you in a wedding dress you're gonna wear to marry somebody else. She's being so cruel by having him see her like that. Makes me sick to think how she's just stringing him along like that. And the way she was going "you must be happy, we can't be together" blah blah blah, ESPECIALLY after she mentioned that hooha about that lighthouse thing. UGH the lighthouse. WTF was she going on about "you have to wait for me no matter what, you're my lighthouse". And then she refused to be a lighthouse for him. Uh, excuuuuuse me? How is that fair or good at all? So basically he has to stay there and be visible to her while she goes and runs off and does whatever she wants? Kill her. KIIIIIILLLLL HER.

Overall thoughts: this episode wasn't too eventful, but it did manage to accomplish the job of furthering Anna's feelings for Chul-soo. I completely skipped Gong Shil Jang and Billy's scenes together, because they were pretty much the same things they've always been saying. And once again we have another episode where the boys appear for like 2 seconds. *sigh* Good thing Kang Ja was there to make it up, or else I'd have to go watch 50 care bear episodes to get the same cute-ness effect those boys give us.
