episode 1

Ok, so this episode was frickin awesome. So much stuff happened and there was a good pace. However, I couldn't find any moments to fill all of my standard categories, so for this first episode I'm going to have to omit the "saddest" award. I'll probably bring it back next episode or as soon as I see something. Anyways, off we go!

In all fairness I should've omitted this award too, but if you know me, I'm the type of person to search really really hard, heck make stuff up even. If you didn't already know that, well now you do. Hehe, anyways I thought it was pretty nice of Chul-soo to stop by the side of the road and ask if she needed help. Of course he did ask for 30,000 won (which is actually not a lot for what he was doing), but eh. It's first episode, can't expect a whole lot between these two.

I barely noticed it when Chul-soo bopped Princess on the head and the cat didn't even care, but Anna was all like "Princess~~~~;_____;" And then there was Chul-soo reacting to that dilapidated mannequin. Haha I just thought the way his reaction was so girly was too precious. No seriously, he was acting like there was a mouse in the room or something. Ok, maybe not to that extent, but geez for a guy like him show some resistance eh? ^_^

Ok, I thought that whole horror movie gag in the previews was just for fun. Who knew that they were actually going to use it in the show? ...maybe I was the only one who was stupid enough to not get it, but oh well. I loved the fact that the entire time he was getting the mashed potatoes kicked out of him all he did was think of his money "NE DON!!!!". Puahahaha. And geez, why was Anna so fuggin persistent? It wasn't enough for her to just run away, she had to go back for the shovel. Like wth I would've just run away for dear life if he really was a killer. And she must be deaf or something, cuz he said "My MONEY!!!!" like 11 bajillion times. Anywho, what I loved even more in this episode was the pet exchange. But even more than the entire performance of Han Ye Seul and Oh Ji Ho, I friggin loved the expression on their pets' faces. Like that dog didn't look like he was phased at all when she ran around all crazy with him, even now he looks pretty chill. And Princess, OH EM FRIGGIN GEE I love that cat!!! I'm actually a dog person, but this cat is so awesome. I love how she has that permanent "I'm cheesed off" face and how she was just sniffing the air while Chul-soo brought her to Anna like she didn't give a shiz. The expression on Princess's face was so "I think I smell tuna...how nice" hahaha.

Ok, I've been holding it back, but now it's time to let loose: OH JI HO IS THE FINEST KOREAN MAN ON THE FACE OF THIS PLANET!!!!! O______O You're probably wondering why I said that, considering all my fangirliness from my previous awards. And to be fair, I still do love them all dearly, I mean if Bi came a knockin I would soooooooo go out with him. But I only just noticed Oh Ji Ho once I started watching the previews for this show. Yea yea I know he's been in other dramas, so what gives? I've definitely heard about him enough, but I never really cared. Man, I sure feel stupid now because I've basically spent an entire year without knowing the glory that is Oh Ji Ho. Gawd he's so friggin hot, I nearly exploded when he started stripping within the first five minutes. Dang those Hong sisters really know how to reel us in =x I had no idea I'd learn that he's a boxer briefs guy so soon hehehehehe. And on top of that he's a great actor! See, I don't like guys based on looks alone....he's so gosh darned cute when he's mad =333

I actually wasn't going to put this in here because I know this carries over into episode 2, but eh I had nothing else to put here (course I could've just stuck in another cap of Oh Ji Ho, he's plenty hot enough just by himself). Jeez Han Ye Seul is sooooooooooo lucky that she gets to lead in this drama with him. Sure, I was jealous of SHG being with Bi. And yea, I was jealous of YEH when she macked out with JJH. But I put those feelings aside because I'm a big shipper for those couples and so I'll be the bigger person and give them up for their happiness. But it's episode 1, I haven't made any emotional attachments to this couplage, so I feel no guilt in wanting to shove Han Ye Seul to the ground and take her place in OJH's arms. *le sigh* Did I just totally not make any comments about this cap? eh whatever, it's pretty self-explanatory anyway =PPPP

Ok, so I really should have omitted this award as well since there was nothing remotely romantic about anything in this episode. But I decided to stretch things a bit and award this moment to the time where Chul-soo recognized Anna's catch phrase. Why is this "romantic"? Well...since he recognized her, it's like 'aw, he remembers! He must want to marry her'. Or something like that. Eh whatever, working with what I got here people, only working with what I got.

Oh there was plenty I could talk about in this episode. Mostly to do with Anna's husband and his poor fashion sense, but since Apple's already has her fashion awards up (which you should check out by the way, just hit the link to the right), I'll just end up parroting her. But this girl is much more wtf than anything I've seen. This girl's acting skills confuses and saddens me. I'm so amazed at how Han Ye Seul managed to plow through the scene without being brought down by this girl's crappy crappy acting. And what is it with her facial expressions? She looks like she's about to blow chunks, and ugh tan much? Girl really needs to tone down on the tanning-spa treatments.

Hahahahaha. SH*************T!!!!!!! And this isn't a permanent award. I just wanted to add this in because this came out of the blue and 'twas indeed very cool. :D

Overall thoughts: This episode was so totally awesome! It was actually pretty nice that I didn't have to look for a "sad" award or anything, because it's too early on to bring out the tears. I also love the light-heartedness and the pace of this drama, I kinda feel like the characters in this drama are much wackier than their counterparts in the other two Hong sisters dramas. Oh, and I never mentioned them here, but Chul-soo's nephews are so cute! I didn't add them in the awards since I didn't feel like they were given enough exposure in this episode, but you will probably be seeing me gushing over how friggin adorable they are in future eps. And another thing I didn't get to mention: Han Ye Seul's English. Once I found out she lived in the US for quite some time, I was really curious to hear how well she spoke and for the first time (besides Jung Ryeo Won) I finally get to hear good English! And it's not even when she's speaking to somebody else. I love how she says "Princess" and not "Peurinsaeseu". And as a final thought I leave you with these two lovely images: Here and here.
