fourth cup

What's more to be said than, "YAH! CHOI HAN-GYUL YOU BIG FAT JERK!!" Hehe had to get that out of my system. You guys already know from episode three how much his behavior bugged me. At least Yoo-joo isn't one of those typical psycho-b*tch other girls who try to rub it in the other girl's face. I thought it was so sweet of her to try and cheer Eun-chan up, even saying it was ok if she liked a guy teaching still thinking that Eun-chan is a guy herself. Oi, that's an odd statement "is a guy herself". O_o;

I gotta say I really enjoy the dynamic that this show has with it's side cast. I've seen a lot of shows fail miserably at trying to utilize any other characters besides the four lead characters, so I wasn't expecting much from Coffee Prince. Heck I wasn't expecting a whole lot from Coffee Prince in the first place since some weird substance in the Korean drinking water has resulted in subpar dramas for the past year or so (either that or Koreans have substituted soju for water entirely). But yet I am finding myself loving every bit of this show even though it's so unlike any other drama I've watched. That's part of the reason why I liked this little moment so much. The other princes are there having fun playing with each other and I can't help but have fun with them.

This is the episode where I decided I really liked this show, and this is the moment that did it for me. I just love how cute YEH can be on screen, yet what floored me was how believable she was for the part. It's so hard to believe that she went from this to this. But let's not deviate from the moment itself. Eun-chan can be really adorable when she's all stressed out and I just loved how Han-seong's reaction was just "huh?".

Ah yes, the samgyupsal scene. I actually don't blame Eun-chan, if it were me I wouldn't be wasting a good piece of pork belly like that either. Mmmmm samgyupsal...with kimchi and roasted garlic *begins to homer drool* .....Uh, so anyways I thought it was cute how Ha-rim came up with being Eun-chan-like and just threw that piece just to demonstrate and Eun-chan acted like she didn't hear him at all.

Y'know, normally if there's a big dumb guy on the show, it's a pretty safe bet that I'm gonna hate the living guts out of him *cough*KrameronSeinfeld*cough*. But for some reason I just love Min-yeop, the big dope. I can't believe he actually sucked on Ha-rim toe, but it was even funnier when he tried to start up that man's contest again with Eun-chan. My favorite part was when they ditched him and he was all "Ah!" and points. Y'know, I think that was just an excuse for the producers to film him w/o his shirt off. Considering the amount of cute/hot guys on this show, they were probably just throwing some fan service out there to all the ladies.

Once again Han-gyul wasn't really scoring big with me. He wasn't doing so well at the beginning when he was shouting his head off at Eun-chan, but he was slowly making his way back up when he was playing around with the princes. But then he just lost it again when he said he'd take Eun-chan home, but then totally went back on it when Yoo-joo came a callin'. So this award is given just because he's just so darn cute. (Although for that same reason I really should be doing this for Han-seong too...*shrugs* eh oh well, too late =P).

Never have I once featured a couple that wasn't the focus of the show so many times. The other two leads are always chasing after the main couple and crying boo-hoo-hoo when they don't end up with them. I almost had a heart attack to see that for once the second pair are a couple themselves, let alone the fact that they're actually for once have love lives outside of the lead couple. I love how chill these two can be, I mean, when's the last time you saw a guy serenading a girl with his own composition?

*resists the urge not to throw up* #_@ Just ewwwwwww manz. For a show that's so mellow and romantic, they sure have a lot of toilet humor. It's like every episode someone just HAS to be shown going to the bath room, picking their nose, or some other disgusting habit. Friggin A I just wanna watch a nice drama, not an effing episode of Fear Factor. >( Yeesh, you'd think for a guy who's such a self-proclaimed coffee snob he'd be a little more prudent about his personal hygiene.

Overall thoughts: not a whole lot happened in this episode except to establish and build up more for what's to come. No matter, we still got some pretty fun moments out of this episode.
