episode 5

I really don't like Mong-ryong's mom, that pretentious socialite. How long has Choon-hyang been living with them? What...something like over a year? Has she even _tried_ to get to know her at all? Yet all she cares about is her low-class background. What annoys me the most is that she belittles Choon-hyang right to her face. I'm so glad that Mong-ryong and his dad see past that. I love how Mong-ryong defended Choon-hyang about yelling at each other towards his mom, most guys I've seen just kinda sit there and say nothing. But gosh poor Choon-hyang having to deal with that and the pressure of having to find money to pay for school while her mom just totally ditched her. She doesn't need any of that added stress. Choon-hyang is so nice and responsible and it is beyond me why Mong-ryong's mother hasn't been able to see that at all after a year.

Even though Chae-rin totally stole Choon-hyang's thunder by telling Mong-ryong about his college acceptance (btw, how the heck did she find out herself, they release that kind of info to just anybody over there?), it was still nice of Mong-ryong to get a cake an fireworks to celebrate with Choon-hyang. It was just so nice and thoughtful of him, especially since Choon-hyang was the one who motivated him to get into college. Man that cake looks good =d Imma have to go to a bakery once I'm done typing this...

This is exactly how you can tell Mong-ryong is his father's son. Even though the dude is so uptight and really strict, he still has his goofy side, I love how he was so easily influenced by Choon-hyang and how she said he'd look cool if he could cut an apple. And Mong-ryong makes the cutest baby driver ever hehe. I laughed when he almost crashed into that car merging with the next lane. You'd think for someone as cautious as him, he'd look over his shoulder and check his blind spot. Heck, you'd think Choon-hyang wouldn't have put up that sign that said he was a new driver since that blocks his rear-view mirror. Oi, do I sound like a DMV instructor or what? -__-;

Hahaha Choon-hyang is such a girl and Mong-ryong is such a guy. Leave it to Choon-hyang to get all moody and tell him the complete opposite of everything she wants and leave it to Mong-ryong to just take everything she says so literally. It's the classic guy-girl syndrome, couples all across the world are complaining about this very phenomenon to their couples counselor right now: "I give him all these hints, but he just doesn't get it!", "I'm not an effing mind reader you nag!". Hehe. I think it's kinda funny how Chae-rin's the one who had to set Mong-ryong straight, she could've totally just set him on the wrong path and piss off Choon-hyang even further. At least Mong-ryong was sweet enough to recognize his mistake and tried to fix it.

Gosh, just look how cute he is just throwing himself on the floor and having a fit like a 5-year old. AHHHH I WANNA HUG HIM TO BITS AND PIECES NOW O____O

Ok, here's where I think a lot of you will disagree with me. I might sound a little political here, but I really don't like fur clothing, even imitation fur. The most I can handle is a bit of fluffy trim around a parka or something. But I can't stand fur coats and the like. Why? Because so many species of animals have come to the brink of extinction because of people exploiting them for their fur. And you're probably wondering why I don't like imitation fur. Well, I feel like if people wear stuff like that it's promoting animal fur as a fashion statement and that it's ok to want to use animal fur in their clothes. (if you haven't figured it out by now I'm a closet tree hugger) Not only that, but I think it actually does look tacky. Especially animal prints like zebra stripes or cheetah spots, makes me think of some low-class hooker to be quite honest. Anyways, enough with that rant, on to another topic: ski-wear. Choon-hyang and Chae-rin are both committing fashion faux pas in my opinion. The earmuffs are cute enough and her ski pants are excusable, but that jacket? Please, is she like in kindergarten or something? Please, please, please dress age appropriate. As for Chae-rin, that all gold attire? Ick, I can't think of one time in my life where I saw someone wearing all metallic colors and thought they looked good. Chae-rin just looks like one big gigantic gold ear pick (you know, those things that people use to get the wax out of their ears).

Ok, well if last episode I didn't pull some hot moment out of my rear, I do now. =/ There was really no good skinship moments here, and I'll be damned if I had to go with Chae-rin kissing Mong-ryong. So I guess we'll have to go with Puritan standards and say them holding hands is just sooooooo ultra hot 9_9. And if we're still on those same Puritan standards, it's a good thing they're standing at least a foot apart from each other, otherwise it just might be a little scandalous [/joke]

Ok, this is so not a lovey-dovey chick-flick romance situation, but at the same time it is. All good love stories have a bit of angst thrown in for good measure, although in this situation it's a bit of overkill. Like agh!!! Why all the misunderstanding???? Oooh these two are really frustrating me right now, I wish I could put my hands into the screen and knock their heads together. Love-sick idiots, that's what they are =_=

e________e That that....*is at a loss for words* There were soooo many wrong things she did in this episode I don't even know where to start. I mean it's one thing to go after Mong-ryong, but she's like knowingly gloating about it all. Plus she faked that little ski accident and then just totally told Choon-hyang she's out of the picture even if she 'asked her for permission'. I've seen my fair share of psycho crazy b*tches, but I don't think I've seen one as methodical as Chae-rin. *prepares stockpile of rotten eggs to chuck at Chae-rin's car*
Overall thoughts: =/ The good moments between our lead couple went down a few notches since it was just a big girly-emotion fest with those two. At least they shared one or two good moments. *sigh* And now that they're no longer in high school, we're not gonna be seeing them in their school uniforms anymore. Man I really loved those uniforms too ;_;
