episode 13

Wow, this episode was really hard to watch. I felt so bad when Mong-ryong's dad had to give up his position as chief of police. It's too bad that he didn't just not take up Mong-ryong's case in the first place. And my heart just went out to Choon-hyang who's got to bear the brunt of all this drama. Especially when she's got to look Mong-ryong in the face and have to refuse him when she loves him so much. *deep sigh*

As if I need to reiterate, but Mong-ryong's dad is the best freaking dad in the entire world. To risk his entire career just for his son shows a lot and that hug showed just how much he cared for him. Seeing how much of Mong-ryong's troubles affected and troubled him too showed the degree of his character. I luff him <3

This was a really cute couples moment. It's too bad Mong-ryong didn't take into account having kids, because then Choon-hyang would _really_ want him to bring home the bacon. Or uh...should I say 'bring home the samgyupsal'? Actually, I like samgyupsal better, I think I'll say that from now on.

Haha it's so sad how his own wife laughed in front of his own face about how sad his art skills are. Poor guy tried to keep the straightest face too. I wonder why he didn't take up art lessons when he took up this hobby. At his rate an elephant could surpass him. The sad part of that is, an elephant actually COULD surpass him.

O________O The next drama Jae Hee does has GOT to be a medical drama. I never thought anyone looked that great in a lab coat, but holy crap Jae Hee sure does know how to work it. And he looks even sexier with his sleeves rolled up. Whoever told him to roll up his sleeves deserves a box of cookies.

When it comes to wedding gowns, my number one rule of thumb is flow. That means mermaid cuts are out (shudders, who actually thinks those look good?), so Choon-hyang wins for having a nice long flowy dress and not too much going on. I also love the almost off the shoulder effect they've got going on and her veil is just to die for. And Mong-ryong receives a perfect score for his tux. I really dislike white tuxes, there's just something so...tacky about them. Now black tuxes on the other hand are ultra sexy, and wearing a white waistcoat + white tie under it is just a combination to die for. And as much as I hate to admit it (since I hate her character so much), Chae-rin has a pretty good wardrobe, sans some of the extravagances. I really love this outfit she has on right now. The green jacket has a very nice shape and the black ribbon going around her waist accents it very well. The skirt is really cute and pairs very nicely with those boots (one of the few occasions where boots look good with skirts).

There weren't any hot moments in this episode to go over, but there sure was a whole lotta ANGST. This scene right here nearly tore my heart out what with Choon-hyang tearing up and Mong-ryong trying to maintain a strong front for her. I really wish she would've put her hand through the bars and put it on his face, would've made that moment perfect.

*sigh* Their last moment of happiness. Ugh, that whole 'drop the wedding picture and the glass in the frame breaks' was soooo predictable, but well used I supposed. Oh well, it was nice watching them beaming at each other while it still lasted. Maybe they ought to have observed the western custom of not seeing the bride in her wedding dress before the wedding?

I can't believe this dude would incriminate someone just so he could become famous. This is worse than agreeing to do porn or nude photo shoots, because in those situations you're not HURTING anybody. Go chug a can of hydrogen peroxide >>;

Even though Dan-hee gets annoying whenever she tries to push for Hak-do, she's still a good friend. I love how she always rubs stuff in Chae-rin's face whenever she sees her. Although, she would probably more effective if she didn't tease her hair so much *stares* O_o
Overall thoughts: this was certainly a heart wrenching episode. I almost felt like I was suffering along with Choon-hyang as she had to tell Mong-ryong to move out and how she had to swallow her pride and agree to be with Hak-do. And Chae-rin sure is one to boast. So when she steals someone’s designs and claims them as her own that's not a crime, but she's allowed to callout Hak-do for what he did to Mong-ryong? Psh puh-lease. Little miss wanna-break-em-up sure has a lot of nerve to think she can go and stop all this. Like, wow you have a heart? And I thought she didn't care about Mong-ryong anymore so long as they broke up. None of this would have happened at all if she didn't keep pushing Hak-do to do something. Eh, well that's enough ranting for now, move on to the next ep before this depression sinks in any further T_T
